My Big Vision for Lighting the World

In this video, I share my big vision for lighting the world and cover the three types of light bearers: thought leaders, advocates, and lantern bearers. Which one are you?

Please reply below or email me at marnie@marniepehrson.com and let me know what you think. If you have ideas for more proactively lighting the world, I’d love to hear them!

  1. A few months ago I asked in prayer, “Who am I?” The answer that came was a picture of me on my way to live in this Earth and Christ handing me a torch that stood for His light, who am I, I am a torch bearer for the light of Christ.

  2. OH Marnie, how true, so many new age people are leading most of the world on the wrong path – the wide road that is easily traveled and leads to success and abundance. But “what good is it to gain the whole world and lose your very soul?”

And so many of us think we are on the right path, but really we are not. We think what we are doing is for the highest good of the planet but it isn’t in line with God’s will, for we don’t even recognize him, let alone listen to him and do what he tells us.

  3. Marnie, I admire you and the others that you talk about in this video. My problem is that I’m not sure how to put my spirituality – basically my belief in Jesus, in what I do. I guess I’m too concerned about not offending anyone or being politically correct. And since what I do is in the personal finance field I don’t bring my religion into it. But as you pointed out in this video it is really important. I’m open to suggestions.

    • Thanks for your comments Joanne. You ask an excellent question. There are many people in fields that do not lend themselves naturally to religious discussions. Personally, I don’t believe it’s very effective to force religion into subjects that don’t naturally lend themselves to it. It feels manufactured and comes across as if you have some kind of in-your-face agenda.

You may not realize it, but it’s YOU and how you interact with people, and the light in your eyes and in your life that will connect and reach people who would never be reached by an “advocate” or a “thought leader.”

That kind of light is very attractive and as people come within the inner circles of your sphere of influence, God will provide opportunities to share your faith and how He has blessed your life. In those moments, you can speak up and share from the heart. Those kinds of interactions are every bit as powerful (and often more powerful) than a message that is blast out to a larger group.
